Admin approves items on community board
Prior to posting, I would like the abilty to approve what is being posted to ensure content is no rude or discriminatory. We have not had a situation, but I can see it happening in the future,

I think the existing protocol is the way to go - if posts have to be "approved" prior to being seen by others, then there is a gate-keeper between users which would not be well received I bell eve

Thanks Mat,
It has been 2 more weeks and I have yet to see a negative post.
I will keep you informed if something comes up.

Thanks for this suggestion Ian.
You raise a very important topic. As you may already know, MiCasa comments and posts are community moderated. Meaning that community members can "theoretically" post whatever they want. This makes many stratas, new to MiCasa, understandably nervous. However, in reality inappropriate post are extremely rare. We have found, because MiCasa does not allow anonymous posts, residents are directly accountable for their comments. This accountability reduces the chance of rude or discriminatory comments, while encouraging beneficial, real-time resident discussion.
It's also important to note that MiCasa Administrators can delete inappropriate posts if necessary.
Ian, does this explanation help? Given this explanation, do you still feel that inappropriate posts may occur in the future? I'd love to hear your comments.
